Like the troubadours in Occitania and the trouvères in the north of France, the minnesingers in this country also celebrated courtly love and thus lent literary nobility to the Middle High German language. The minnesingers liked to call each other "the nightingales". Most of them belonged to the knighthood. They gradually emancipated themselves from their Romanesque role models and developed their own art form in the 13th century. The French ensemble Céladon, led by countertenor Paulin Bündgen, follows in the footsteps of the minnesingers and explores the courtly, poetic world of the Middle Ages. The program is dedicated to the singer-songwriters of the 12th century. Drinks and rustic sourdough bread will be served at the VENTANA table.
Minnesang of the 12th and 13th centuries by Konrad von Würzburg, Heinrich von Meißen (called Frauenlob), Albrecht Lesch, Bruder Wernher, Dietmar von Aist, Robin and Dem Unverzagten.
