Wie stärken wir unsere Demokratie? - Verfassungsschutz, Wissenschaft und Zivilgesellschaft im Dialog

Our democracy must be defended! In a panel discussion, Prof. Dr. Ursula Münch, the President of the Bavarian Office for the Protection of the Constitution Manfred Hauser and Dr. Lisa Redler from "Omas gegen Rechts" will reflect on the risks and challenges democratic societies are currently facing - and how important it is to raise awareness of democratic values among young people in particular at an early age and encourage them to actively participate in a vibrant civil society.

Ursula Münch is Professor of Political Science and has been Director of the Academy for Civic Education in Tutzing since 2011. Before his appointment as President of the Bavarian State Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Manfred Hauser was professionally associated with the BADEHAUS memorial site as Chief of Police of Upper Bavaria South. "Omas gegen Rechts" is a non-partisan initiative that publicly campaigns against hatred and hate speech and will be represented at our event by Dr. Lisa Redler.

The evening will be linguistically enriched by a poetry slam by Ickingen high school student Luisa Höser.
