Zoomies

In the organizer's words:

The story of the Americana in Leipzig is quickly told. First there was nothing for a long time, and then finally the Zoomies.

Whereby the Zoomies - the heart project of musician Maxim Tschernych - still sounded like a bag of new wave mixes between Jack J., Bowie or Ween on the debut tape "Carbonated Soft Drinks" from 2023.

But now, finally, the logical, slightly noisy turn backwards through pop history on VHS tape to Americana, or more precisely to the rock-pop part, where country or folk are not dirty words, where Harry Nilsson once wrote his songs, where Alex G lives today and where MJ Lendermann can also sing a song. So this is also where the Zoomies hang out. The Zoomies perform live as a 5-piece band, but also as a solo show. Depending on the occasion. In truth, the Zoomies are the protagonists in Maxim Tschernych's songs.
