Clara Schumann's compositions tell of nights when thoughts do not want to sleep. Of hearts that hope and doubt at the same time. Her songs carry an intensity that seems timeless: fragile and determined at the same time, vulnerable and powerful. Music like a quiet crack in the darkness.

130 years after her death, Leipzig pianist Anja Kleinmichel and singer Franziska Hiller are dedicating a musical tribute to this extraordinary artist. Voice and piano enter into an intimate dialog. In the Romantic period, the night was not a horror, but a space of knowledge. The fragment carried more truth than the perfect. Beauty lay in the fragile, in the unspoken, in the abyss beneath the surface.

Experience music by Clara Schumann, Robert Schumann, Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, Johannes Brahms, Theodor Kirchner and Friedrich Wieck.
