In addition to this, the two musicians from Lucerne play in various projects (Pierre Omer, The Shit, Grey Mole) or appear as producers of soundtracks (including a film award for "The Car That Came Back From The Sea") and theater music, such as for "Die Brücke über den Fluss" (Jadwiga Kowalska) or "Undine - die kleine Meerjungfrau" (Claudia Brier). In 2013, they recorded their debut album, produced by STEVE ALBINI at Electrical Audio Studio in Chicago. Since then, the band has played more than 100 shows a year in Europe.

Blind Banjo Aregger (guit/voc) and Oklahoma Butcher (drums/bass pedal/voc) are THE disturbing duo. In glittering tights, they devote themselves to rock'n'roll, new & no wave, suicide disco, punk, blues, kraut rock or even country in an abstract way and create their very own, absolutely unique DISCO TRASH SOUND with an irritating POST PUNK attitude -

this music has speed, this music makes you want to!

With each of their five albums, BLIND BUTCHER prove that they are true wizards. The songs trip & dribble, snot & swagger, tickle & joke - a pulsating cocktail of playful chaos, inspired by topics that move the world...but also humanity: love and science fiction, eyebrows, neurodermatitis. 2025 is the year in which BLIND BUTCHER go up in flames. With HEKATE < their second strike on cult label Voodoo Rhythm Records >, the duo ignite another explosive chapter in their musical madness with a new, radically danceable mix of rock, disco, punk, new wave, electronics and a good dose of trash.

LIVE on stage, BLIND BUTCHER are shrill, ecstatic and completely unpredictable - somewhere between concert, performance and state of emergency, they always remain uncompromising, playful and indeed completely unique at their shows. To mark the band's 15th anniversary, their new album delivers danceable darkness, anthemic madness - and quotes like: "We won't leave this place until it's on fire."
