Brass Band BlechKLANG in Concert: Eurovision(s) – Musik aus ganz Europa

The brass band BlechKLANG presents its new concert program on 9 May 2026 at 5 pm in the Volkshaus Jena. Under the title "Eurovision(s)", the award-winning ensemble will embark on a musical journey across the continent under the direction of Alexander Richter. The program combines powerful tutti sounds with fine solo performances and shows the entire dynamic range of a brass band based on the British model.

From Swiss mountain worlds to British pop culture

The program demonstrates the versatility that characterizes a British-style brass band. The journey leads from demanding original literature, such as the Swiss work "Traversada", to the timeless melodies of Ludwig van Beethoven, whose classics appear in a completely new light in modern brass arrangements.

The repertoire is complemented by well-known milestones in European music history: In addition to the anthems of ABBA, a multi-layered Oasis medley and the classic "The Final Countdown" also find their place in the program. The French "Chorale for Peace", among others, provides the quieter, reflective moments.

An evening for all generations

A special highlight is the performance of the youth brass band BlechKLANG, which enriches the program as a guest ensemble. Charmingly presented, this evening offers a varied sound experience for all generations.
