When Leila Schayegh performs, she is not interested in virtuoso self-expression, but in making the composer's thoughts audible. Today, the Swiss baroque violinist is one of the leading figures in historically informed performance practice. Together with the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra, she dedicates herself to three great names of the era. The orchestral suites combine festive splendour with dance-like elegance - from Bach's radiant Suite in D major to Handel's dazzling "Fireworks Music" and Telemann's colorful Suite in F major. Schayegh is both violinist and conductor: without a conductor, a lively musical dialog is created in which each voice bears responsibility. In this way, the orchestra becomes a breathing body of sound - carried by shared attention, spontaneity and the joy of storytelling through music.
