Bach's second wife Anna Magdalena was not only the mother of 13 children and a housewife. Bach regularly indulged in domestic music with the respected soprano. All of the arias and harpsichord pieces selected by the international quartet led by Dresden soprano Marie-Luise Werneburg could therefore have been performed in this intimate circle. The famous soprano aria "Silence, ye flutes" is followed by the artfully meditative Harpsichord Fantasy in A minor. The aria "Mit zarten und vergnügten Trieben verehrt" exudes pure joie de vivre. Finally, Annie Laflamme on the transverse flute invites you to enjoy a sonorous coffee - with Bach's popular aria "Ei! How the coffee tastes".
