Belgian trumpeter Jeroen Berwaerts is a musical powerhouse, and his all-embracing love of music does not question genre boundaries. He therefore moves naturally through all eras, from baroque to contemporary music and jazz. In his latest program "Roaring Fifties", Jeroen Berwaerts and his quartet invite us back to the 1950s and thus to a time of new beginnings. Cool jazz meets classical modernism, jazz-inspired compositions by Jean Françaix and Jacques Ibert alternate with jazz standards by Dave Brubeck and Richard Rodgers.
