27 years, over 1,200 concerts in 30 countries, 28 recordings, many of which have won awards: The Calmus Ensemble has long since secured itself a place of honor in the ranks of professional soloist ensembles. After 2020, there was a generational change in the ensemble, but the unmistakable and popular appearance of Calmus has remained: flawless intonation, remarkable common musical understanding, openness to new repertoire, coupled with an intense emotional connection to the audience. We hear masterpieces from five centuries, including Reger's Nachtlied, perhaps the most poignant evening prayer in vocal music.
