"Germany Reads a Book" - namely "Real Americans" (Kiepenheuer & Witsch) by Rachel Khong. The campaign invites people to celebrate the joy of reading together and talk about a book.
New Year's Eve 1999: 22-year-old Lily Chen, the daughter of Chinese immigrants, is working as an unpaid intern at a trendy media company when she meets Matthew - charming, wealthy, heir to a pharmaceutical empire. Their relationship seems impossible and yet full of promise.
