Public adventure tour - Gelnhausen's magnificent half-timbered houses are silent but impressive witnesses to the town's history. On the guided tour "Holzauge sei wachsam", participants meet people whose lives are closely linked to the history of the half-timbered houses. For example, the modern carpenter's wife Andrea Liegner, who, like many women today, balances work, family and household and has both feet firmly on the ground. And the carpenter Christian Stock, who returns to Gelnhausen in 1745 after a long journey and realizes that everything around him has changed - even the women...
