Western democracies are in crisis. The "right of the strongest" is on the rise worldwide. Traditional media are losing out to platforms and artificial intelligence in terms of reach and importance. What can journalism do now, what needs to change?

We want to talk about this at the 10th Cologne Forum for Journalism Criticism, on May 8, 2026 between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the Cologne Funkhaus. The anniversary edition is entitled: "Game over? - Journalism between upheaval and new beginnings".
