Her book Ichhöre dich (IHear You ) tells how she nevertheless went through with her medical studies, which also took her to the MHH. There, her boss at the time, Thomas Lenarz, fitted her with a cochlear implant. Today Wolter hears great - completely deaf. Today she implants herself. Today she is the only deaf woman in the world to head a hearing clinic. Making deaf people hear: You could call the CI implant a miracle.
