Hi! With "immernie", Spencer make an album that doesn't look for clear answers. It is an album about enduring one's own ambivalence.

Feelings are rarely unambiguous. Hope meets doubt, a spirit of optimism meets homesickness - and sometimes everything feels heavy and light at the same time. With "immernie", Hi! Spencer combine personal moments with universal stories. They tell of summers that always go. And of days that never come. Of sadness and euphoria. The band doesn't look for either or, but allows opposites to stand side by side. "immernie" is the realization that things end. And that this is precisely where their meaning lies.

Musically, Hi! Spencer translate this field of tension into songs that simultaneously push and drive. "immernie" is quietly loud, slowly fast and euphorically melancholic. Verses stretch out tensely, only to burst in the chorus. The band shows once again that indie, pop, rock and punk don't contradict each other, but rather push each other forward. Driving guitars, warm synths and great melodies combine to create songs that stick with you.
