What it's all about

Every two weeks, inclusion activist and media maker Raúl Krauthausen invites well-known personalities to his podcast "Im Aufzug" (In the elevator) to talk about current social issues. On May 23, the podcast will make a stop at Depot 2 of Schauspiel Köln - as a live recording as part of the Sommerblut Kulturfestival. The guest is deaf activist and psychologist Katrin Maag, better known as Katrin Aimee. Together they talk about disability, solidarity and social participation. Katrin Aimee campaigns for feminism on social media and draws attention to ableism. Her first book "Unüberhörbar" will be published in March 2026.

Why you need to tune in

The live podcast recording brings two strong voices of the inclusion movement on stage. Raúl Krauthausen is known for his clever, humorous and pointed contributions to social debates. Together with Katrin Maag, they discuss barriers in everyday life, solidarity and how social change can be initiated. An evening for anyone interested in diversity, activism and current social issues.

Raúl Krauthausen founded the association Sozialheld*innen e. V., which develops projects for greater accessibility - including the digital map Wheelmap, which users can use to mark accessible places worldwide. He is also the author of the bestseller "Wer Inklusion will, findet einen Weg. Those who don't want it will find excuses."

The podcast will be translated into German Sign Language (DGS) and Easy Language .

The event room is barrier-free. There is a wheelchair-accessible toilet.
