Program

Hamburg, today, the attic of an old house. A suitcase, a bundle of dusty letters from the past. Letters, like rays of light from a time, in the apparent darkness of memory. From Hiddensee, Roter Sand, Hamburg, New York, Bornholm. And a suitcase full of time and stories.

Johannes Kirchberg's new program is about lighthouses, the keepers who served them, the history and stories, disasters and secrets. We travel with a lighthouse keeper into the past and from lighthouse to lighthouse.
