About the book: Before she caused a sensation with Wir sind Helden, Judith Holofernes was a funny kid. A dreamer who moves through the world like a drunken bumblebee. What is later referred to as neurodiversity goes unnoticed in the Berlin of the wild 1970s. It is only when her lesbian mother moves to tranquil Freiburg that Judith begins to make a spectacular impression. But she wants to do everything right. So she tries the balancing act: is it possible to be nice and special? It works. Even if she pays a high price for it: Judith Holofernes becomes the nicest rock star in the world.
