Three fiction debuts are the focus of this event and invite you to discover new literary voices.

Yellow Monsters by Clara Leinemann, Julia Sutter's debut and Oliwia Hälterlein's family novel focus on young women dealing with guilt, loss and origins. Whether it's a toxic relationship, the death of a mother or a family history spanning generations - all three texts tell of the pain of upheaval and the search for a self-determined new beginning.

Martina Kothe will lead through the evening in conversation with the authors. The discussion will focus on writing, the creation of novels and the common themes that link their texts.

Clara Leinemann writes prose, drama and radio plays. Her debut novel Gelbe Monster was published in March 2026.

Julia Sutter is an author and works in the communications department of the Reformed Cantonal Church alongside her writing. Her debut novel And that would only be the beginning was published in March 2026.

Oliwia Hälterlein is an author, moderator, dramaturge and concept developer for artistic and socio-cultural projects. Her debut novel We Daughters was published in February 2026.

Martina Kothe works as a freelance illustrator and has been working as an author and presenter for ARD radio since 2000, primarily for NDR Kultur.
