Among 48 million Iraqis, they are the only professional father-son constellation: the KILDAN World Project brings the rare culture of the Mandaeans (John Christians) to the stage of the Pasinger Fabrik. With virtuoso kanun playing, oriental singing and a top-class jazz line-up, Kildan and his father Maged present fascinating original compositions between tradition and modernity.

The KILDAN World Project combines the millennia-old sounds of Iraq with modern jazz. The ensemble around the father-son team Maged Kildan (Oud) and Kildan (Kanun & Vocals) plays exclusively their own works, which build a bridge between the culture of the Mandaean minority and contemporary rhythms - an extraordinary concert experience with a star cast.
