Newly engaged, the couple Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon) are traveling across the country. After their car breaks down somewhere in the middle of nowhere, they seek help in a castle. But there they find themselves in the midst of a bizarre party led by the suspender-wearing lord of the castle, Frank N. Furter (Tim Curry). Janet is more than suspicious of both the lord of the castle and the castle itself, which is why she is determined to leave the place as quickly as possible.
