Art, culinary delights and wine enjoyment - the May weekend in Alt-Lichtenrade

From May 1 to 3, 2026, the annual Wine Spring around the idyllic village pond in Lichtenrade once again invites you to an enjoyable weekend of art, wine, culinary delights and lively live music. Winegrowers, wine connoisseurs, artists and curious guests will have plenty of time to taste the wines of the past vintage, discover handmade arts and crafts or get creative themselves. The organizers and around 100 exhibitors invest a lot of time, passion and commitment to create this special place for encounters. Accordingly, they are delighted to welcome guests who enjoy and appreciate the carefully compiled artistic and gastronomic offerings - the consumption of food and drink brought from home at the tables provided is therefore understandably not permitted.

Art, handicrafts, manufacturers and winegrowers entice visitors for three days with fine wines, melt-in-the-mouth chocolates, regional honeys, crispy breads and other delicacies. And because a village festival also includes music, the Lenard Streicher Trio provides swinging sounds live on the pick-up stage from 3 to 6 pm, while in the evening "Krüger Rockt!" heats up the atmosphere around the village pond.

Versatile and entertaining

The Lenard Streicher Trio will delight you with a lively mix of classic jazz, swing, rock'n roll, blues, boogie and rockabilly tunes. The band consists of singer and guitarist Lenard Streicher, Moe Jaksch on double bass, guitar and backing vocals and Karl "Carlos" Engelhardt on tenor and soprano saxophone, clarinet and backing vocals (save the date: also on May 9, 2026 from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Weinfrühling on Ludwig-Beck-Platz).

Rock'n'roll goes walking

At "Krüger Rockt!", music becomes a mobile spectacle. The band around Harald Krüger has developed a mobile, battery-operated sound system. The piano sits enthroned on the wagon, while the double bass and guitar are connected via radio - and a small drum set rolls along on a handcart. The rock'n'rollers parade around the village pond, transforming the area into a walking stage. This unusual musical experience can be experienced from Thursday to Saturday from 6 pm. The Süddeutsche Zeitung newspaper has called band leader and boogie-woogie pianist Harald Krüger the "best Jerry Lee Lewis in Germany".

Experience lifestyle, neighborhood love and community

Take a relaxed stroll along the stalls of the art mile, talk shop with winegrowers about grape varieties or talk to creative people about their working methods - it is precisely this special togetherness that makes up the flair of KUNST trifft WEIN in Lichtenrade. Potters, fashion and jewelry designers, painters and other creative people present their work, let you look over their shoulders as they work and offer their handmade pieces of art directly on site. A wonderful opportunity to discover original, unique pieces and give yourself or others a special treat.

Wine, secco, liqueur, punch, juices and matching snacks

What makes KUNST trifft WEIN so special is that, in addition to the artists, numerous winegrowers from various German wine regions and neighboring countries will be there to present their wines in person. A delightful promenade will be created along the Alte Allee in Alt-Lichtenrade, where you can discover the art of wine and other fine beverages - accompanied by sweet and savory snacks that go perfectly with the different wines.

Many family wineries have been making their way to Berlin for 30 years to enrich the Family & Friends markets.

Winzerhof Kummer is taking part for the second year. The winery from Franconia will be there with its characterful Silvaner wines, fresh white wines and selected red wines. The family-run winery stands for handcrafted wines with a clear line - an enriching new addition for all those who appreciate Franconian wine culture.
