KW x PW–Magazine – Stina Force

In the organizer's words:

The one-woman punk band Stina Force, the alias of Swedish-born artist Stina Fors, electrifies the stage with energetic drumming, erratic spoken word monologues and vocals. With a penchant for the absurd and the strange, the choreographer and percussionist creates works that move between dance, theater, music and experimental performance. Her improvised and site-specific pieces draw on a diverse repertoire of strategies to manipulate the mood and attention of the audience. Direct speeches and seemingly spontaneous remarks comment on the performer's emotional discharges, which unfold before the audience's eyes. Simultaneously attractive and repulsive, her screams echo beyond caricature and catharsis.
