Caro Trischler's specialty is the quiet, haunting tones that sound very relaxed in English and Portuguese. In 2025, the Mainz-based musician and current Worms Jazz Prize winner released her second album When You Know You Know in collaboration with pianist and producer Ulf Kleiner. In her song lyrics, Caro Trischler tells personal stories that range from euphoria to world-weariness and melancholy, and is not afraid to get close to her audience in an intimate way. The duo's music moves effortlessly between jazz, soul and folk, reflecting both their passion for Brazilian music and the diversity of their musical influences.

Wolfgang 'Wolfi' Klein

Newly retired, ex-host and author, born in 1956 in Sibiu, Romania, happily married, two children, one grandchild, has lived and written in Mainz for 45 years. For the first 24 years of his life, "Wolfi" lived in beautiful Sibiu, in distant Transylvania. He likes going to pubs and concerts, writing poems, setting them to music and posting the best ones on YouTube, sleeping in the afternoon and eating chocolate. He loves his wife, his children, his grandson, Emmy the cat and tries to understand his fish Joji, Pischti and Ötschi. But they don't say anything...

Wolfgang Klein spent the first 24 years of his life growing up in Sibiu. In 1980, he left his homeland as a repatriate and settled in Mainz. He ran the cult Mainz restaurants Quartier Mayence, Caveau and Zum Löwen for 45 years. In 2000, he began writing books to compensate for the hard nightlife. Wolfgang Klein primarily writes short stories from his old and new homeland and poetry. Music and literature are his passion. Relaxing in the here and now is not exactly Wolfi's thing. The beer could foam! The cook could fall over! The guests in a beer garden on the Rhine might leave. The staff forget the multiplication tables. Emmy the cat gets lost. A distant relative ringing the doorbell. This is how Wolfgang Klein doubts his way through everyday life and the daily evenings.
