Who steers the German economy? For decades, an influential network of entrepreneurs and top managers made key decisions in the background. This old order has disappeared. But where are the old power structures still visible today? And who are the most important decision-makers today?

The starting point for the evening is Konstantin Richter'sbook Dreihundert Männer (Three Hundred Men), which traces the rise and fall of these power structures. In conversation with Prof. Dr. Burkhard Schwenker, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of ZEIT STIFTUNG BUCERIUS, the discussion will focus on new power relations and networks, changing forms of leadership and the question of what responsibility entrepreneurs bear in an increasingly polarized society.
