Mit feinem Gespür für Ausdruck und Nuancen interpretiert das Trio Capriccio Werke von Haydn, Smetana und Schubert

The Trio Capriccio will be exploring the works of its chamber music genre with curiosity and dynamic enthusiasm on Friday, April 24, at 7 p.m. in Borbeck Castle. It combines unbridled energy with a fine sense of expression and nuance.

The members of the trio, Annika Jemina Franke (violin), Klaudio Zoto (cello) and Victoria Nava (piano), met at the Robert Schumann Hochschule Düsseldorf. The piano trio line-up offers the three musicians not only musical but also human harmony.

Founded in 2023, the trio achieved significant competition success early on and was included in renowned funding programs such as the "Best of NRW" cycle of the Werner Richard - Dr. Carl Dörken Foundation. The ensemble gathers further important impulses at regular concert appearances.

On this concert evening, they will present three piano trios: Joseph Haydn's virtuoso Piano Trio in E major No. 44 opens the program with a wide expressive range. Bedrich Smetana's Piano Trio in G minor follows with a work of great emotional intensity, characterized by the composer's personal experiences of fate. The concert concludes with Franz Schubert's Piano Trio in E flat major, which he himself characterized as dramatic and is one of his last compositions.
