In the organizer's words:

"I once had a beautiful fatherland"

A literary-musical program about Jews and Jewish life in Leipzig. Writers such as Franz Werfel and Joseph Roth, the latter of whom had very special roots in Leipzig, have their say. There are also testimonies from Leipzig's city history and writings from the city parliament. The touching, partly autobiographical texts are combined with atmospheric klezmer music.
