In FUGK (an abbreviation for "Finno-Ugric Garage Kabuki"), folklore and trash meet contemporary live art. Performer and musician Pasi Mäkelä draws inspiration from the hunting rituals of his native Finland and blends them with the stylized expressiveness of Japanese Kabuki theater.
The result is a wild acoustic-performative cosmos full of strange figures and images of contemplative beauty and absurd humor. A self-ironic, anarchistic evening of theater in which tradition and its cultural transformation collide with the chaos of the present and the diverse expectations of the audience.
