Open Air - Killerhorns

Formed in 2022 by acclaimed drummer Carter Skillicorn, The Killerhorns are a six-piece funk and soul band with enormous power. The group brings together some of Scotland's most in-demand funk and session musicians, and their sound is the perfect blend of the familiar and the fresh new. With an extremely tightly played and energetic set that showcases outstanding musicianship, their music blends old-school New Orleans rhythms with JB's inspired rhythm and horn sections, taking inspiration from modern greats such as Ghost-Note.

The band is led by Carter Skillicorn on drums. The line-up also includes Alex James on guitar, Stephen Jack on bass and Michael Watson on keyboards. The "Killer Horns" are Jonny White on saxophone and Chris Small on trombone.

The band is the house band and can be seen regularly at the famous "The Jazz Bar" in Edinburgh. Their individual playing and touring experience also extends throughout the UK and Europe. If you're at a Killerhorns concert, you can expect non-stop energy and inspiring vibes.
