Open Air - Blue Again

In the organizer's words:

When jazzy soul echoes across the church square and a once feared music and media critic (RP, Süddeutsche) is at the microphone, then it can only be Blue Again featuring Hans Hoff.

Hans Hoff grew up in Bilk and knew all the funky soul numbers by heart from an early age - those by James Brown, Sam & Dave, Wilson Pickett and B.B. King. He promises soul songs that have the blues, crisp Memphis soul. Something like "Hold On I'm Comin'" and "Land Of 1000 Dances" or "Knock On Wood" by Eddie Floyd. Blue Again put soul through the wringer, mixing it with jazz and making it extra funky.

Although Hans Hoff now lives in the Eifel, his musical heart still beats in Bilk. This is where he got infected with really good music and where he and his five fellow musicians want to see what's happening. To try out new things. The guys from Blue Again say: Soul is what you make of it. Ladies and gentlemen: It's soul time.

The exciting question remains: after three completely sold-out concerts at the Jazz Schmiede, will Hans Hoff even manage to completely "sell out" the Kirchplatz this time?
