Anyone who loves music for organ and large brass ensemble will certainly not be disappointed with this program. Sixteen musicians from the ranks of the Berliner Philharmoniker will be taking part when Richard Gowers takes to the keys. The young organist from London has been no stranger to Berlin since his Philharmonie debut almost two years ago. Back then, he had already performed with great success with the Philharmoniker's brass section, so the desire quickly arose to be able to experience the 30-year-old once again in the Philharmonie. No sooner said than done. In addition to Miloslav Kabeláč's expressive Third Symphony, for which Jakub Hrůša was engaged as conductor, works by Richard Strauss and Richard Wagner will be performed. These symphonic arrangements for organ and brass were written by Richard Gowers, who demonstrates yet another talent. Listen and be amazed.
