Potsdamer Tanztage 2026 – Petites Pièces

Leïla Ka is a rising star on the young French dance scene. Her pieces have already been performed more than 300 times internationally, making her one of the most successful French choreographers of her generation. Her career began as a dancer in Maguy Marin's May B. before she developed her own works. With Petites Pièces, Leïla Ka presents three short pieces that stand for her unmistakable energy and the way women break with social norms.

In Bouffées, five women face the audience, their cheeks wet with tears - grief spreads, transforms and is transformed into collective strength. In You're the One We Love, two characters move together through falls, upheavals and resistance. Fragile and powerful at the same time, they celebrate the persistent energy that keeps us going. In the solo Pode Ser, a dancer traverses an inner landscape of tensions and contradictions. Between raw gestures and sudden impulses of movement, the piece explores the difficulty of being completely with oneself.
