RATHMANN

Rathmann play dark guitar pop. Unpolished and raw. Dirty, spacious and with a sense of romance. On their debut album "Die Goldenen Zwanziger" they have found a clear self-image - an independent sound - and tell honest and approachable stories. When a young couple becomes unintentionally pregnant in their songs, people go off the rails or dystopian future prospects spread - Rathmann set the twenties to music in an abysmal and introspective, catchy and beautiful way. Their own and the decade in which they experience it.
From the indie rocker "Warum tut Liebe so" to the folky "Trauriger Geist" and the Italo-Western title track of the album - the clear signature is recognizable everywhere: A band that allows itself to be a band. A band that is not guided by the zeitgeist, but exclusively by its own interests.
