Simple language: Rathmann is going on tour. They are playing a concert with us together with the band Woanders and the artist Nina Jacob. They play indie music.

Rathmann play dark guitar pop. Unpolished and raw. Dirty, spacious and with a sense of romance. On their debut album "Die Goldenen Zwanziger", they have found a clear self-image - an independent sound - and tell honest and approachable stories. When a young couple becomes unintentionally pregnant in their songs, people go off the rails or dystopian future prospects spread - Rathmann set the twenties to music in an abysmal and introspective, catchy and beautiful way. Their own and the decade in which they experience it.

From the indie rocker "Warum tut Liebe so" to the folky "Trauriger Geist" to the Italo-Western title track of the album - the clear signature is recognizable everywhere: A band that allows itself to be a band. A band that is not guided by the zeitgeist, but exclusively by its own interests. And so their debut album, which will be released in autumn 2026, borrows more from Leonard Cohen, Big Thief, Dr. Dog and bands from the Hamburg School than from contemporary German indie pop. In their concerts as well as in their songwriting, Rathmann capture the moment in their songs:

Whether festival mainstage or intimate club shows - what makes the band truly unique is their ability to create moods that contrast and yet merge with each other: euphoric and thoughtful, danceable and touching at the same time. There are places you can't find on maps. Places where you feel foreign and yet at home. WOANDERS occupies precisely this space between departure and longing, between energy and thoughtfulness - a mixture of rousing indie pop, groovy indie rock and melancholy but hopeful lyrics that break up the everyday with feeling. One moment the room is filled with pulsating euphoria that makes the audience dance, the next moment everything is plunged into an unexpected, almost tangible melancholy. WOANDERS manage to capture both movement and stasis in their music - always in search of a feeling that is difficult to pin down. Sometimes driven by the longing for something new, sometimes in quiet moments of pause, when the world around you becomes quieter. Nina Jacob is an extraordinary singer and artist. In the summer of 2024, the young woman from Eschwege decided that she wanted to become a musician. Less than a year and a half later, she can look back on over 40 concerts and 16 releases, with numerous shows to follow - in short, 2025 was a great year. And the trend is rising: 2026 will be no less turbulent - on the contrary. The first headline tour, a long summer of festivals, the first album. You could be forgiven for thinking that she never rests, that she has bite, that she lives and breathes music. Nina Jacob makes danceable German pop. Her songs are about self-determination, about breaking out of everyday life and about searching for and finding meaning in a life that is moving far too fast. Musically, she can be categorized between Nina Chuba, Florence and the Machine and Wir sind Helden - but only categorized, because she undoubtedly has her own style. Nina Jacob wants to be loud, to break out, to offend, to stand up for herself and she wraps her feelings and stories in expressive pop clothes. Her voice is snotty and yet crystal clear, her expression meanders between sensitive and expressive, between loving and powerful. Keep an eye on Nina Jacob - you'll be hearing a lot more from her!
