Soundings #055: Gebrüder Teichmann

In the organizer's words:

Hannes and Andi Teichmann are electronic musicians, DJs, curators and enthusiasts who work at the interfaces of sound, space and social exchange.
In their performances and international projects, they combine analog electronics with acoustic practices and develop new musical forms in dialog with musicians and their surroundings.

Their work stands for an open, collaborative approach between scenes and sonic traditions. Examples of this include collaborations with artists such as Robyn Schulkowsky, Ensemble Modern, the Berlin State Opera and Wura Samba, as well as projects such as Fieldlines, Ten Cities, BLNRB and Soundcamp South Asia, which were realized at the intersection of club culture, experimental and contemporary music with local scenes in Kenya, Angola, Mexico, Pakistan and India, among others. Her label NOLAND is exemplary for her path from underground to inter-ground.
