Spinnen im Spreepark

In the organizer's words:

Don't be afraid of eight legs.

Many people are afraid or disgusted by our eight-legged friends. But spiders are by no means scary - on the contrary: they are amazingly rich in shape and color. Thanks to their typical markings and body shapes, many species can be recognized without much prior knowledge. To experience this, we would like to take a closer look at the spiders in the Spreepark and learn more about the species that surround us.

After an introduction to the biology of spiders, we will go to the Spreepark together. There we will track down various species and identify them with the help of our expert speaker, who will provide exciting background information. We will then look at the animals we have found under magnification and discover details that would otherwise remain hidden to the naked eye.
