A queer flirting performance by flirts&friends

With music, dance and their bodies, four performers embark on a search for what a flirt is - or perhaps could be? They talk about their own experiences, try things out, feel their way forward - and try to withstand their gaze.

i see you. i like you. i'm interested in you.
i want to make you laugh. you make me nervous.
i want to give you little things. is this a flirt? are we flirting?

With music, text and their bodies, the performers embark on a search for answers. the spark approaches the spontaneous, the interpersonal, the exciting and asks: what could a flirtation be if it is more than a preliminary stage on the way to marriage or sex? When it is fun, loving, aimless and non-linear?

"the spark" deals with flirting as a queer practice outside of heteropatriarchal narratives. The four performers offer each other a safe space in which they playfully approach each other, feel their way forward and search for a new flirting language. They tell their own anecdotes, look deep into each other's eyes and blush in an attempt to withstand the stares...
