Robert Redford plays Johnny, a small-time con man with a mischievous smile during the Great Depression, who always gambles away the money he makes through scams. In order to finally get his act together, he wants to do a thing with Henry Gondorff, an accomplished trickster with plenty of experience. After initial difficulties and with law enforcement always breathing down their necks, they plan a large-scale coup together to rob gangster and notorious gambler Doyle Lonnegan of his money: A dance on the razor's edge.
THE STING is one of the biggest audience and critical successes of the 1970s. The twist-filled story is told with great attention to detail. You can never be sure that one last ace won't be pulled out of the sleeve and events will take a completely different direction. Awarded seven Oscars and included in the National Film Registry, THE STING is now part of the canon of US cinema

The film will be shown on April 21 in the German dubbed version and on April 26 (without introduction) in the original version without subtitles.
