The Tibbs

Raised on rhythm & blues, funk, jazz, pop and ska, The Tibbs present a unique blend of garage soul with roots in the Detroit and Philly sound of the 60s and 70s. A retro style, refined with the unmistakable Tibbs formula.

The Tibbs took off in 2012 with the great Elsa Bekman as frontwoman. After careful consideration, Elsa decided at the end of 2018 to follow her heart and focus on a solo career. The Tibbs then set out to find a worthy successor and found the outstanding singer Roxanne Hartog.

With a selection of new songs and an album (Another Shot Fired) that received excellent reviews, the Tibbs played sold-out concerts in the Netherlands, Italy, Germany and Spain.

In January 2024, they released their album Keep It to Yourself, a true masterpiece that thrilled listeners, got them tapping their feet and made 60s hearts beat faster. On this twelve track album, The Tibbs prove once again that the passionate sounds of the past can still have a fresh and vibrant place in music today.

The single Thrilled by the Lie was released in November 2025. The band plans to enter the studio in fall 2026 to record a new album.

Angels of Libra

The serene soul sounds of the Hamburg collective Angels of Libra are like a balm for times of crisis and are known for their fusion of analog soul, the energy of a 60s revue and cinematic soundscapes. Since their 2021 debut, the Angels have released a string of acclaimed singles and collaborations.

Their debut album Nathan Johnston & The Angels of Libra from 2022 received international acclaim, radio play across Europe and was named 'Album of the Year' by 33RPM Magazine.

In 2024, the group grew to 17 members, welcomed vocalist Sarife and released several new singles, including a soul cover of Queens of the Stone Ages No One Knows.

Angels of Libra have their new album Road to Mandalay with them and promise a return to the heart of soul with elegance, warmth and passion.

The collective is coming with a smaller line-up and will get the Kulturzelt up to operating temperature.

The concert is unseated. (However, there are seats in the stands for early birds)
