UNHEARD: Sounddrift

In the organizer's words:

Sounddrift moves in modern fusion jazz: full of energy, rhythmically
and open to spontaneous developments. The school friends bring
experience from big bands, combos and project formations. On the piano plays
pianist Anton Kleespies plays the piano; the saxophones are played by
David Piperov and Florentin Moser, both young students at the University of Music and
Musik und Theater München and part of the Munich University Jazz Orchestra.
The band is completed by Paul Suttner, Noah Scheufl er and Abi Ackermann.
Together they present a young formation with great enthusiasm for playing and
and sonic curiosity.

The Unheard series already celebrated successes at the Unterfahrt in 2019 and 2021 and is now being continued this year with eight concerts in Hall 4 of Einstein Kultur. Developed as a project with the JazzStiftung München and curated by Unterfahrt and mucjazz e.V., the program aims to provide a forum for promising young musicians from various competitions (including the Munich Jazz Prize) and give them the attention they have long deserved.
