What was once everyday life has become a distant memory for them: Normality. While the world news moves on, people who were still driving cabs or running small restaurants yesterday are wrestling with the ruins of their biographies. The Russian war of aggression tore them from their lives, threw them into trenches and finally brought them to Germany for treatment with serious injuries. Here, between sterile hospital corridors, prosthetic fittings and the endless wait for healing, they wage a new, invisible battle. It is an existence in limbo - an involuntary waiting room in which the boundary between survival and a new beginning is negotiated anew every day.

UN|ZERBRECHLICH transforms the painful trauma into a powerful revue of resistance. In the midst of diagnostic appointments and bureaucratic hurdles, performative islands of assertion emerge that celebrate the human spirit and resistance. An ensemble of veterans and professional accomplices take us on a journey through tragic wit and anecdotal intimacy. Through passionate singing and fast-paced storytelling, the distance between our safe everyday civilian lives and the harsh reality of war is bridged. It is an invitation to understand solidarity not as a buzzword, but as a radical encounter at eye level.

Behind the façade of medical care lies a silent wound in Europe. The project makes tangible the hidden layers of dreams and traumas that lie beneath the scars of veterans. UN|ZERBRECHLICH poses the existential question of how much resilience there is in a person when everything around them is shattered. A project at the intersection of lived history, activist art and deeply human encounters.

The speeches and the performance on 13.05. will be accompanied by a translation into Easy Language and German Sign Language (DGS) .

The performance on 14.05.2026 will be accompanied by an audio description and a touch tour .

The text of the event will be translated into Ukrainian / German with surtitles.

The event room is barrier-free accessible. There is a wheelchair accessible toilet.

We can reserve wheelchair accessible seats or barrier-free accessible seats for you.

You can bring your own headphones to use the interpretation into plain language. The connection works via a simple mini-jack plug.

People with a hearing aid can use the hearing system. The hearing system works via induction.

The parking spaces at the venue are suitable for people with disabilities and can be used by prior arrangement. They are located directly on the premises and are marked. In the surrounding streets (e.g. Voksgartenstraße, Vorgebirgsstraße) there are plenty of inexpensive parking spaces.

The various support requirements can be specified when purchasing tickets. This allows us to prepare well.

Guide dogs and assistance dogs are very welcome. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog to the performance.
