In the organizer's words:

A group of children, lots of wax crayons, a large supply of paint and jazz - that'sWASCO! Ten young performers aged 7 to 13 create a world out of nothing. They dance with crayons and brushes and build their own universe. The result is a painting.

After all, what is dancing other than drawing in space? In WASCO!, choreographer Lisbeth Gruwez and musician Maarten Van Cauwenberghe explore the similarities between music, drawing and dance. Together with the children, they develop a soundtrack that leaves room for unexpected actions and spontaneous extravagance.

If freedom had a form, what would it look like? WASCO! is an invitation to paint beyond the lines. An explosive action painting performance. Unbridled, chaotic, wild and sometimes gentle.
