In the organizer's words:

We move across it every day. But what is this "soil" actually? We rarely see more than its surface, and yet it is colorful and diverse, a true work of art of nature. But not only that - above all, its existence ensures our survival on earth.

We invite you to immerse yourself in this fascinating ecosystem and to explore it with us on Tempelhofer Feld as an example of urban space. The soil here is not only an important recreational area, but also an outstanding location for biotope and species protection, for our water and for the urban climate. Find out how the soil in Tempelhof was formed, how it reflects the history, what it means for the urban ecology and how challenging the development of an area as large as Tempelhofer Feld can be.
