A wide range of volunteering opportunities!

On Saturday, April 18, the Pasing Factory will open its doors from 10 am to 3 pm for the 3rd Pasing-Obermenzing Volunteer Fair. This year, the fair is presenting itself with a new concept that appeals to visitors of all ages: 43 exhibitors will showcase the wide range of volunteering opportunities for young and old throughout the district in a speed pitching session and at themed category stands.

During the speed pitching, moderated by musician and author Andy Kuhn, ten exhibitors will present themselves and their activities in short three-minute presentations every hour on the hour from 11 am to 2 pm. In this way, visitors will be given a compact and lively overview of the many different ways to get involved. There will also be an opportunity to talk to the exhibitors at the themed stands in the areas of education, children, youth and family, sport, integration, participation, senior citizens, health, sustainability and the environment, as well as at the advice center for volunteers.

At the fair, visitors will meet well-known associations and organizations that have been represented in previous years, as well as numerous new ones that are taking part for the first time. The Münchner Eishockey Klub e.V., for example, is looking for volunteers to support and accompany children and young people in training or on match days, alongside a number of other sports clubs such as ESV München e.V. and the new CASA action sports hall. The Evangelical Youth (EJEBC) offers a wide range of opportunities to get involved in children and youth work. SwaF - Start with a Friend e.V. brings people together in 1:1 tandems and local communities, promoting a sense of belonging and social participation. Zirkel für kulturelle Bildung supports people with disabilities in independent living and creates meeting spaces under the motto "More heart, less blah blah blah". The Pasing Children's and Family Center, which will soon be moving to new premises, is looking for volunteer support for its new café, and the school crossing assistants at the elementary school on Peslmüllerstrasse and Bäckerstraße are also looking forward to new volunteers.
A varied supporting program also invites you to join in and linger at a craft activity for children and families by the Würmranger, at the bicycle kitchen of the Bavarian Consumer Center with its "Healthy & Affordable Cooking" offer and with musical contributions by the "Musik.vor.Ort Choir" and the Neue Jazzschool München, rounded off by a sketch by the Weiss-blaue Bühne München.

The fair is organized by the Pasing-Obermenzing district committee and N∙E∙St - Netzwerk Engagement im Stadtteil (Quarter M gGmbH) in cooperation with FöBE and REGSAM with the support of the City of Munich, Kultur und Spielraum e.V., Pasinger Fabrik and Kulturforum München-West.
