Shaping the city through and with art, transforming thought patterns and bringing images of the future into reality - this is the vision of the Animatograph, the raum13 broadcasting unit from the Deutz Central Plant of Fine Arts.

On April 21, 2026, the successful talk "Six hectares of city for the city of the future" will enter its second round with exciting guests. The anchor point and setting will be the Deutz Zentralwerk der Schönen Künste, a richly resonant space that raum13 has been artistically incorporating for fourteen years now. Due to its historical and social significance, the location is uniquely suited as a stage and protagonist for rediscovering, staging and negotiating the present and the future. In the historical ambience of the Deutz gas engine factory, where world motorization began in the 19th century with the invention of the gasoline engine, you will experience the eventful stories of this unique location and the interpretations of the respective protagonists.

The series promotes supra-regional and international exchange in order to further advance sustainable transdisciplinary networking between cultural institutions and players from politics, science and administration in the region.
