Oh yes, love... rose-tinted glasses, sweaty palms, the world that stands still and the Dirty Dancing soundtrack in the background. Love is a fairy tale. With skin and hair. And hope. We want it, we fear it, we need it and we would do anything for it. Immortal love, which is often only immortal because it never has to age.

And there, in this fairy tale, there were once two people. Two people who desire, use and idealize each other. One flees from emptiness, the other from the system. One seeks meaning, the other revenge. Together they become the myth of immortal love - somewhere between fairy tale and loss of reality. The heartbeat louder than the machine gun, the romance greater than the fear. And if they haven't died? Then Cher asks you: Do you believe in life after love?

Based on Büchner's Leonce and Lena and the myth of Bonnie and Clyde, this play stumbles through the great romantic tale. Pop meets poetry, fairy tale meets documentary theater, Büchner's language meets the melody of the present. An evening that asks what we love and who pays the price in the end. But maybe that's not so important, because as John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John sang so aptly: You're The One That I Want.
