Bernd Lhotzky is a member of the groundbreaking quartet "Echoes of Swing". In addition, as a stride pianist, his unrivaled playing has sparked storms of applause from critics and audiences alike. But the musician, who has won the German Record Critics' Award several times, surprises equally with his wanderings between classical music and jazz. Together with flautist Frédéric Couderc, he has dedicated his duo program "A Trip To Hoboken", specially developed for the Haydn Festival, to Joseph Haydn. Lhotzky has arranged motifs and themes from his works to create a suite that musically traces his life. In the process, one encounters Haydn's loves as well as his two most important musical heirs Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart and Ludwig van Beethoven. And of course Haydn's musical wit is not neglected in all of this!
