Film und Austauch: Djelem, Djelem - Rom*nja und Sinti*zze im langen Schatten des 20. Jahrhunderts

In the organizer's words:

The film"Djelem, Djelem. Rom*nja and Sinti*zze in the long shadow of the 20th century" is a biographical-historical contemporary documentary: ten Sinti*zze and Rom*nja talk about their family history against the backdrop of recent German and European history. They provide personal insights into their lives, which were and are characterized by racism and exclusion, experiences under National Socialism, flight, exploitation and violence. They are strong personalities who resist and have resisted in different ways.

The film is a production of Rom e.V. together with the Romane Romnja association.

After a short break, contemporary witnesses from the film will talk about empowerment, courage, pain and confidence and enter into an exchange with those present.
