Part of the strategy of the extreme right is to rewrite history in recurring myths. The "History instead of myths" project at the University of Jena takes up historical revisionist narratives, such as the trivialization of National Socialism and the Holocaust and the denial of German war guilt, and counters this strategy with historical facts.
The social scientist Jakob Schergaut, head of the project, introduces the work, reports on the strategies of the right and on measures to counteract them.
