In the cold expanse of the far north, the Norns hold the strings of the Nibelung saga in their hands. Will they reweave the fate of Brünhild, Kriemhild, Siegfried and Gunther? Brünhild, the Queen of Iceland, is strong, beautiful and invincible. She rules freely and wants to decide her own future. But her father Wotan insists on his rights and wants to decide which man Brünhild must be bound to. He promises her hand in marriage to the man who wins the three-way fight against her. Now the famous dragon slayer Siegfried appears. Brünhild once allowed him to get close to her for a moment before pushing him away. Now Siegfried, of all people, is to help Gunther, king of Burgundy, to defeat Brünhild. In exchange - woman for woman - he is promised Gunther's sister, Kriemhild.

Power, cunning, loyalty and betrayal are woven into the story. But what is the course of the story when the two women become sisters in the new web of fate in order to bring those who tormented them - father, brothers, spouse - to justice?
